Just wanted to say thanks for everyone's advice and comments in this forum. I bought a Wiid, followed everyone's knowledge, soldered it myself and got my backups working perfectly. The only thing I have to complain about is that optional 6th wire. Wow that is a tight fit with the soldering gun.

To people having problems with rawdump 2.0 giving them the arithmatic error. I got this error with clean disks using rawdump 2.0 and 1.3. I did the swapping master/slave, changed the settings to pio only, and guess what....still got the error.

The only fix I found was using rawdump version .4

Yes it will take 9 hours or so, but it works perfectly. I then use imgburn to burn the image to a verbatim dvd - r and all the backups work flawless.

Just use rawdump at night when you go to sleep and in the morning you are all set.

Wow!!! You are like the first person that actually used the Search Bar before coming and asking for help! I'm glad that all of "this" helped you! I too have the WiiD, and I'm loving it! I don't know why your PC isn't working with RawDump2.0? What is your HDD setting set to? FAT32 or NTFS? Because I talked with a guy that said that RawDump2.0 wasn't working for him, and he changed his HDD setting from FAT32 to NTFS and got it working! Maybe that could be your problem...

Yeah, it is a toshiba laptop. The hard drive is set to ntfs. i am using a external usb 2.0 case for the lg drive so i have a feeling that is part of the problem. My other computer is a mac, so I think I am stuck using version .4 with the toshiba.

Where did you find older versions of rawdump? I tried searching and couldn't find any...
