Okay, heres the thing. I bought a Wiikey. Well, my father screwed up a lot of the drive trying to install it. He burnt off the soldering points on the Wii drive, and then he tried soldering the alternative tracing points. Well, there is solder all throughout the chip leg things. I told him just to forget it. Well, the Wii won't turn on. It'll stay in standby mode, but when I turn it on to green, it'll just shut off. I think he soldered all those points together. Is there a way to get a replacement DVD drive for the Wii, any way to repair it, or do I have to buy another Wii. I still want the chip installed, anyway. Just need to know what to do.

I'll never let him solder anything else, -_-;

Well... If you think that he soldered them all together, just get some Desoldering Braid, and take off the excess solder! Try that and see if it works!
