I use DVDshrink to back up the disk and the use PowerDVD to burn the movie to disk, but between 20-75% done it says error and spits it out. Some movie I can burn, but the last two; Layer Cake and some of the Planet Earth disks, have spit them out while writing them to disk, any suggestions.

have you a link to this powerdvd that you are using to burn your project with as the only power dvd that i know of is a dvd viewing application

If you are using shrink, then Nero would be a good alternative for a burning engine
