I'm looking for some Taiyo Yuden DVD+R's similar to the ones found HERE: http://www.rima.com/....
However I dont want to get a 100 pack (looking for something like a 20 pack). I was wondering if anyone knew of another site that sold this brand that does not sell "fake" disks as I read in a ps2 topic. I have only seen two sites suggested in that tutorial which were rima.com and supermediastore.com. I was also wondering if 8x or 16x mattered or is it based on my burner? Anyone have any suggestions?

I haven't seen any Taiyo Yuden in a 20 pack! they always start as a 50 in a spindle! some other great online stores are Newegg.com, Meritline.com ... you can try finding a 50 spindle there.

8x or 16x..... if you drive can handle 16x, ok..... my burners can but it seems they like the 8x media better than the 16x..... my quality scans prove that.... I usually get scores of 96 and better for 8x media but can't seem to get higher than 95 with 16x media! and my scans for +R media is higher than -R media! so I'll stick with the 8x +Rs until they discontinue that! all I burn with is Taiyo Yuden now!

I recently bought 500 Taiyo Yuden's and I have burned over 300 of them without a single Coaster. A 100 pack is only $28.00.

You can tell they're real by looking at the inner hub with a magnifying glass. The code should start with GG.
4x DVD-R = TYG01 / GD00xxxx
8x DVD-R = TYG02 / GG00xxxx
16x DVD-R = TYG03 / GH00xxxx
