hey guys.. well i got the wiikey modchip and my friend soldered it in.
I put it all back together it turns on all works fine except the drive.. it wont open, wont read the cd that is in there just says there is no cd,
Have i what they called "briked" it or not put it back together properly.. what does the ribbon on cd drive do?, the bracket which holds it down broke so i had to tape it on it may have come loose.. also with the coin battery that u pull out do u have the positive facing up or down?
if anyone could help me it would be great thanx

You pretty much screwed your Wii if this is broke. The ribbon needs the pressure that the clip gives it to make the contact to the board. I am sure this is why the DVD Drive is not operational.

I doubt taping it is going to work.

have no idea what else you can do to fix this except for replacing the clip or board itself.

Maybe someone else has an idea that will help.
