super paper mario updated my pal wii with pal update disc still asks me to update

wiikey freshyly installed in my wii updated to latest PAL firmware through wii menu tried to play super paper mario asked me to update and becuase of the problems i said no how do i play this game

If you have the 2.2E firmware then you will be fine to update with Super Paper Mario.

Check and make sure you have 2.2E on your PAL Wii. Do this by going to Wii settings and looking in the top right corner of the screen.

If it is 2.2E then insert the Super Paper Mario disc and when it prompts to run the update go ahead and run it. There is no way around this.

Since you have the 2.2E firmware installed you are safe to run the update. It will first check what firmware is installed when it finds the 2.2E firmware it will then skip over the update and not install it.
