play pokemon ntsc(J) in Ntsc(U) machine

Hi guyes: Ineed adviser, just got a copy of pokemon NTSC(J) try to play on my NTSC(U) wii, the screen shows will update system, I stop the updat procedure because I remember read some post about updat from J games in U wii will brick the system, Is it true, What should I do? Stop or let it continues, also my machine already update to 2.2U, Please help in this issue, Thanks a lot

just let it run , it'll check to see if you firmware is up to date, which if you have 2.2 then it is, then it'll just go into game

it's ok as long as you have your NTSC machine updated with the latest NTSC firmare.
