hi u guys hope someone can help me find codecs for mpeg layer3 and how to use them to open

yes thats right media player tell me (cannot open file needs 1 or2 codecs to open file.

Which media player do you have? Is the file extension .mp3?

I have windows media player 10 and yes it's an mp3 file i have tried using quicktime, realtime,and itunes and get the same message.

You should be able to play a mp3 file with your wmp without adding any codex.I would try another mp3 file and see if it would play.This program will give you info on your file...

download GSpot http://www.headbands.com/gspot/v26x/quick_start.html follow the directions and double check the codec of your file.

Dont worry about trying to download the right codac, instead download a VLC media player. This will play just about anything.

VCL stands for VideoLAN client. You should be able to find the player easy enough just use a search engine and type VCL player. Its free.
