clicking noise with certain media

My Wii made the clicking noise for the first time today. I was testing out whether a homebrew game was going to work on my old ritek dvds before i burned it to my verbatim. I have done this before without any problems but this time my Wii made a funny clicking noise and gave an error. I then tested out the original Zelda game and then the Zelda backup I have (verbatim dvd), and both booted without any problems (some low clicking noises with the backup, but nothing compared to the sound I got with the homebrew ritek).

Is this anything major to be worried about or should I just never use Ritek media again? Are there any steps or precautions i should take?

I use Philips DVDR- media and it to makes the clicky noise
