I have a 2.60 and want to downgrade to 1.5. Is there any risk in this? If i mess up will it kill my psp? Also, will 1.5 have less features than 2.6? Can i ever reverse it back to 2.6?
And also, do i need to downgrade to 1.5 to play GBA Games?
there is risk in everything u do on ur psp. even upgrading to Sony firmware has risk. there is not much, and none if u follow the instructions exactly.if u mess up, ur psp is a paperweight. 1.5 has less features, but if u upgrade to a custom firmware from 1.5, ull have more features. u can go back to 2.6, but i dont reccomend it.
u will need to downgrade to play those games, and ull need the eemulator. google it or something.

there i a risk, specially if you do it wrong, 1.5 will have more,but you wont be able to play alot of your umd games, because they require you to up date your psp, so you are better of to downgrade to 1.5 and then up grade to 3.40oe-a or something, because then you can play your games, plus you have all the features of 3.40 sony firware and you can play your iso and hombrew applications.
first i was downgrading my psp 3.40 oe to 1.5 and when it said press x to restart manually i turned it off with out pressing x i started panicing and then the battery fell out and it shut off and i put the charger on it and turned it back on and it went to the blue screen and started working again omg i just made fucking history bitches...!!!

Your an idiot. It finished writing the firmware so restarting/turning it off/battery falling out wouldn't do anything... That blue screen comes up every time. Even when you restart it like it tells you to. God.
