Nero showtime plays sloooow!

Nero showtime and nve4 will not play or encode some AVI files.They just have normal audio and slow video,it is Nero related as the same AVI files play with wmp?

I am having the same problem. The sound is ahead of the picture, and is out of syn by as mush as 4-5 seconds. Very difficult viewing. Is this because my laptop isn't powerful enough, or are there specific settings that are required? Can anyone assist?

I wasnt happy with my "solution" but it worked.Basically download Nero clean-up and uninstall Nero 7 and get 6(6.6 is what im using).The annoying thing is that 7 has always worked perfectly for me and then all of a sudden...So i Nero cleaned and reinstalled 7,same problems so as before i cleaned it off and downloaded 6.6 installed and everything worked great.Hav'nt looked back since,and they lived happily ever after!!!
