I own legit copies of both of these game and I wanted to know if there is anything special that you need to do because both of these games are more than one disc. I also wanted to know if anyone knows how the saves work for these games. Thanks in advance for any help

P.S. first post! felt like I need to join this awesome site because of all the useful information it has provided me. It helped me downgrade my PSP and then upgrade to my custom FW....THANKS

I believe it automatically fills in the right id for each game

btw...ffVIII does not work properly...it freezes when you try to cast a spell, for me at the same battle every time.

thanks a lot for the quick response. It definately sucks that the game does not run properly. I really like FF8

Me too...you'll just have to wait until Sony releases compatibility for it in a later firmware

do you mean for sony to release a way for us to play it, or for some modders to figure it out?

Well basically for instance, if they release a 4.00 version firmware, that can support FFVIII (one that you can officially buy from the PS3 store, since official firmware only supports those, you can't play your own converted ps1 games on Sony firmware) then Dark Alex makes a 4.00 oe-a, then the custom firmware has elements of 1.5, and 4.00, which means it will support FFVIII, and your own converted ones.
