when i find a torrent download site it has the info hash on it with a bunch of numbers/letters called info hash. i was just curious and im wondering what it is. What is info hash?

it is a digital "signature" of a file which is used to avoid downloading fake files.

You can note the hash of a file you want and see it matches the hash of a file you see on another site.
