hello, i installed wiikey, all my copied games work great no problems....
my originals now are iffy, the sports game loads goes to the tie the strap screen then fails...... or it will tell me to turn off teh wii ....
it does that for a number of times then works fine..... the same with shrek the burnt copy works the original says " please insert a valid disk"\
over and over then it seems to work. but the original sports disk now does not seem to want to work at all i tried about 40 times

any thoughts?

Does the bottom of the disc look any "different" or look "odd" at all?

The only thing I can think of is that your DVD drive (Thats ripping) is damaging the disc.

Try coping a music CD or an old DVD that you don't care for anymore & see what the results are.

hello, im using Memorex DVD+R as burnt games. the DVDR disks are a little more blue, I will try renting a game and see if it still messes up.

teh laser would not have "learned" the DVDR disk? and not allow originals?
thanks

i think u got the wrong end of the stick

he asked if the LG dvdrom (when ripping) was damaging / scratching the original nintendo discs hence rendering them unplayable.

my guess is you have not backed up your originals at all. try backing up one of those originals with rawdump see if it works then

hello,
i tried using raw dump and get the following error at 90% dump.
i rented a game and it works, i will see if any friends have mor games to try out.

See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

Is it just those two originals that are giving you grief? Or is it any original game? If it plays backups but not factory pressed games and it's only those two, I would think it is most likely a dirty or scratched DVD.
