Hi, I have a JAP Wii with a modchip in it (not sure which, able to boot gamecube backups and wii backups that are NTSC/U, J, and PAL), and so far I've been enjoying buying american games and playing it on the system as it's modded and allows free regions, as well as enjoying one JAP game that was a must for me, Bleach. My problem is I don't know how the hell you do the update via the machine using Wi-Fi (I have a router with wi-fi enabled, know the key, etc. but when I go to the right button (I think) some jap text comes up) as most JAP owners know it's only in jap, no other language, so it makes navigation and configuring settings very hard, and what I want to know is will playing an NTSC/u game with an update (Like Mario Strikers or Super Paper Mario) brick my JAP Wii? And if anyone knows the answer, what are the exact steps to update a JAP Wii using Wi-Fi? Thanks for your help in advance.
If you don't have the latest update for the Nintendo Wii, and you put in Super Paper Mario, it WILL BRICK YOUR WII!!! As for updating the Wii, I might have to put a video up to help you with that...
Ahh I tried messing around again. My wii knows my wi-fi exists, I put the right SSID, it tests it successfully, but whenever I got to WiiConnect24 there's this popup that comes up after I choose 'Yes' and same for Wii System Update. Anything that requires internet requires me to go to WiiConnect24, whatever I choose then takes me to the internet settings. This is so freaking annoying omg.
