I have a TSST TS-L532A lightscribe dvd burner. I cant find any firmware updates for it either. But it burns fine on all media except it wont burn on the printable dvds. I burned fine on a memorex DVD+RW, and then tried a printable DVD+R and every time I try the printable dvds it burns all the way through and then when it finishes it said there was a burning error and I cant use the dvd. I looked at the dvd and i could tell my data was burned into the disc. Here is the info on the two dvds. The first one is the one that worked, and the second one is the printable dvds that will not work. Also im using sonic my dvd plus software to burn.

No my burner is a lightscribe burner, I just put that in for onformation. But it wont burn any on inkjet dvds. (I mean data, no im not trying to lightscribe on a non lightscribe dvd lol. I mtalking about writing data on the dvd). You know the dvds you can put in the printer and it prints right on top of the dvd. For some reason my burner will not write anything to those dvds. It writes the data on them but finishes and says there was an error and my dvds are useless. I have a desktop that has a pioneer writer that is older than the one listed here but it writes to them fine.
Well it looks like im off to buy an external usb dvd writer, unless you know a place where i can get a good replacement slim lightscribe writer that suppports dual layer for my notebook?
