Best Quality Voice Recording on Mobile Phone

Hello

I have a Samsung E900 and I want to use the Voice Recording function to make voice recordings that I can turn into MP3 files that can be listened to.

So far the quality has been a bit distorted. Can anyone give me tips as to how to get better quality recordings?

Should I use the hands free headphones and mike?

Should I stand a bit away from the phone?

Could I connect the phone to my PC and use it as a microphone (how would I do this?)?

Should I use the video mode to record sound only?

Should I make voicemail messages and then record these (and how would I do this)?


What would be the best way to get a clear voice recording from my mobile to then convert to MP3 or WAV file.

Also are there any tips on conversion to get best quality?
