Audio dropout on offair digital signal

I subscribe to DirecTV. A 5LNB dish with the DirecTV Mpeg 4 HD receiver and HD DVR receiver.
I am receiving the local TV stations HD digital signals using an HD off-air antennae. The coax is routed to a combiner and through the attic and wall to the family room. In the family room, the coax from the antennae side of the combiner is routed through a splitter and from there to the 2 receivers. I used RG6 coax throughout and top of the line combiners and splitter.
I have had no problems for the last 2 years that I have been receiving the digital signals. Now in the last 2 weeks, after watching the local channel 2 (NBC)for about 5 minutes, the audio starts to "flutter" and than drops out. Still have the picture. This occurs on both receivers but not near as bad on the DVR. This happens ONLY on this one channel. I can change channels and come back to channel 2 and I have audio again for a few minutes and than the audio drops out.
I changed out both combiners and splitter but did not fix the problem.
I had a DTV tech check out the problem and he blames the antennae.

This is really strange as I think that if the antennae was bad, it would affect all channels and why only the audio of one channel.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
