Can you help me with reformatting my Wii please?

Ok so after installing my Wiikey, the newschannel doesn't work. I think it's because I took the system battery out and I heard you can reformat to fix that.

Now, I copied all the game saves and channels (but not the save data for the channels. it won't let me) to an sd card and copied my miis to my wiimote. Will this let me put everything back after I reformat? Will I lose all of my everybody votes data? There is a warning saying even channels copied to an sd card won't be able to restore it.

any ideas? because I don't really want to lose this stuff.

Why don't you just delete the News Channel and re-download it? There was a problem with the Everybody Vote's Channel and you just re-download it, and it works! Try something like that!

aww it didn't work. I just reformatted. All I lost was my voter data. Not a big deal but I voted on almost all of them. :)
