hi Everyone.. I have been reading this forum from last 2 weeks and tried burning couple of dvds.. but unfortunately all of them turned out to be crap.. Well i have Ps2 V12 US/NTSC with modchip - Matrix Infinity 1.38
Please tell me if im doing anything wrong.

- I'm using modchip, shouldnt I ?
- Just because i have PS2 V12 NTSC, it means i can only use NTSC games with the NTSC DNAS ID's ?? Because i tried patching PAL disk(though ps2 is NTSC, it runs PAL disk too) with PAL DNAS ID.
- DNAS id wont work if somebody is already using that or used already in the past ???
eg. everyone wud be using E1 71 as prefix..

Please can someone clear my doubts ??

Let me summarize..

1. I have NTSC console(Matrix modchip which runs both NTSC & PAL backup games) so my games which im patching must be NTSC ???????????

2. Why did i receive "DNAS Error code -833" after patching WWE 2007 ?? Do anyone know how to bypass this error ?? OR, maybe the DNAS ID provided on this forum was wrong ??

3. how to bypass error code -833 ?? I have never played online before on my PS2.. do i need to do anything else.. do i have to run a disk like "network adapter disk" or something ???

4. Well, i have more doubt.. the missing DNAS ids list on " dnas.stoleyour.net " means that you dont need to patch those games. does that really mean, any backup game will work without patching?? I tried one of them .. Commandos strike force but then it gave me the same DNAS error code - 402

I havent played even a single online game on PS2 till now in my life.. Guys please help me..

My requests are.. (I think all should be NTSC just bcoz i have an NTSC console)

1. Battlefield 2
2. WWE Smack Vs RAW 2007
3. Fight Night Round 3
4. Need for Speed Underground 2
5. Metak Gear Susbsistence
6. SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs

Or any working title which i could test on my PS2 ?? Please help me guys.. im in UK now and i have a US NTSC console.. so you can undstd that i cant even buy an original one.. I tried UK PAL original disks, they dont work..

Any help wud be much appreciated.. Thanks in advance..
U can undstd my situation.. Im a big Playstation fan and i have never played online.. :(

This passed the dnas authentication for the Bigs for me......
There is a way to just enter in any DNAS Number and have it work. I have done it for every online game I have so far and it worked.

This is what I do:

When going to patch the game your numbers look like this

Quote:
XX XX FF 30 ZZ

Quote:
XX is what the DNAS generator would choose for you

Quote:
FF can either be
00
01
02
03
04

Quote:
30 Stays the same that is if it is an NTSC game

Quote:
ZZ can either be

that method doesn't work... don't wasted your DVD-R's. rogue trooper is a good example for no such thing as a "universal DNAS id".

Okay i agree, the universal id thing sounds bogus to me. Id like to use the method ive been using. Thats get the code plug it in. So if the dnas id could be supplied for The Bigs NTSC that would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

Well, im really happy that dnas id is working for battlefield 2 which is mentioned on the 1st page of this forum.

FYI - I tried for Metal gear but the servers were closed long back in march of this yr. Resident evil outbreak 1& 2 servers are also closed. Today i will try for Winning eleven 9

It would really be a great help if someone can list the ps2 games whose servers are closed forever. so, that ppl wont waste their efforts.

My Requests -

1. WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2007
2. Call of Duty 3
3. Rainbox six lock down
4. splinter cell double agent
5. Toca race driver 3
6. Burnout Revenge

Guys please help.. we have to keep this thread alive..

Thanks in advance.

Now i can also help others in getting online. Things are pretty clear to me now. Dont hesitate in asking me.

Hey my name is Vishal not visual :)

No, every game has a different disk id. Im using the disk ids which are mentioned on the 1st page of this thread.. Go to the 1st page and check the list..

Well try the below one for battlefield 2 (ofcourse for NTSC console). its working absolutely perfect for me.

Disc ID = XX XX 03 30 8C

I replaced XX XX with E1 71
So, finally this is what im using
Disc ID = E1 71 03 30 8C

You could be right but when i tried my metal gear DVD i found the servers were closed.. so now i search in google before burning any online game that whether servers are up or not. See what i found for Resident evil.. every search was saying servers are closed.

http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3157716

But, i read one link in which one guy was saying that file 1 server would still be up.. So, im not pretty sure about it. you could be right. and if u r then i would b the happiest person to play resident evil online.. Could anyone please confirm this news ??? or should i start a new thread for it ??

Thats a region code error. You must be using NTSC DNAS ID on PAL console. So many people makes this mistake initially including me.
If you have NTSC console then the image or the disk from which you are making an image must be NTSC and after that patch a NTSC disk id only with windip 1.7 And exactly same is the procedure for PAL consoles, i mean everything shoud be PAL.

Also, before patching the disk id you can confirm the image file whether its NTSC or PAL. Just put the image file in windip and click on scan the file. It should be..

SLUS / SCUS for NTSC
SLES for PAL

In your case you need to Go to 'PAL DNAS list' thread if your console is PAL..
