There is no mario strikers NTSC dump yet. this is a PAL iso patched with regionfrii or wiigoinfree or whatever.

It works on PAL and NTSC systems alike. I just imported mine. if you have a chip installed (and by the sounds of it, you do), just update your NTSC firmware online and play the PAL version.

It's great :-)

BTW, hope this isn't piracy that you're asking about. BUY IT.

No its the PAL version that is patched to be NTSC compatible...

You need to use WiiBrickBlocker to patch the PAL Update, so that it is no longer there...

If you want to experiment, then dont use WiiBrickBlocker, if you want to follow instructions of someone that has already done it then do it the way I told you above... If it were already done then there would be no need for this program right??

The patch that the download came with is it NTSC-U ?

I loaded the mario strikers .iso and hit patch it said completed does that mean that I now have what ever patch it came with on it ?

@Scruffy29

It has been explained clearly above.

It is a patched PAL version of Mario Strikers. Someone took the PAL version of Mario Strikers and patched it so it can be played on an NTSC Wii.

The problem is the patcher can not patch the firmware update that is on the game disc. So you still have the PAL firmware update on the disc. Which can brick your Wii Settings if your NTSC(U) Wii is not updated to the newest firmware.

So to avoid your Wii settings from being bricked either...

1) Update your NTSC(U) Wii to 2.1U or above before running the game disc.

Or

2) Use the Wii Brick Blocker to take off the PAL update.

I wouldn't trust the Wii Brick Blocker 100%

I still would keep my Wii updated to the latest firmware just to be safe. Do this when playing any type of out of region game disc or any downloaded game disc that might be mislabeled as the NTSC Mario Strikers Vortex version was.

For those that bricked there Wii Settings with the Mario Strikers PAL version or Vortex NTSC version Big Brain Academy will unbrick your Wii Settings by updating your Wii to 2.2U firmware.

Also If i make sure I have version 2.2U (wich I do) Does it automaticaly stop the brick or can it still get (semi-bricked)

Listen man you are making this harder than it is... The mario strikers game is PAL that is patched to be compatible with NTSC, but it still has the PAL Firmware update in it... So WiibrickBlocker patches the .iso so that it has absolutely no Firmware in it...

If the program says completed then it means it has completed, and removed the firmware update from the iso....

Please no more questions on this simple simple process...

Those are my last questions and Im sorry i didnt spend a lot of time of my life trying to figure all of this out I cant burn the game though because the burner I bought doesent have the right hookup's so im trying to find out if I can not brick my WII without useing WiiBrickBlocker because thats a pain to explain my brother who is getting the game for me

Vortex is just the group that released that version of Mario Strikers. So I would be careful when downloading Vortex downloads. If they did it once they can do it again.

You will be prompt to do an update when inserting the game disc. It then will check to see what firmware you currently have on your Wii. Since you have the 2.2U firmware already it will then skip the firmware update all together because you have the latest firmware installed. (You will be prompt for the update and you do need to except the update. But it will be fine since you have the latest firmware installed)

This is why you should always keep your Wii up to date with the latest firmware. Doing this will keep your Wii safe from being bricked with an out of region firmware update on a game disc.

As long as it took you to get the answers here, it actually took me a lot less time to figure it out by reading the description of the program, it's pretty self explanatory... less than 2 minutes...

On the mac, we have (nearly) everything ported except WiiBrickBlocker v1.3.

Rawdump 2.0 = unscramble v0.4
DL link = http://www.blogadresse.de/wp-content/upl...cramble_0-4.zip

The only downside to unscramble is that it can only change .wii->.iso meaning the only thing that;s missing is the Ripping (sorry, life is tough). I'm unsure of it working completely since I've only been able to gnab .iso's and no .wii's but from what I hear it works well on Intel macs & i havent heard anything on PPC macs. I am unaware of a newer version at this time. It still seemed to launch & hold some function when I just randomly ran it on my PPC G5 Mac.

.iso burner
I am currently using the latest Toast Titanium version. As I read above, yes it does want to turn it into some gay CDX file nor will it burn under the ISO 9660 settings. Apple's Disk Utility seemed to burn it just fine w/o any errors or exceptions.

WiiegionFree
I was able to launch Wiigionfree.jar off of my mac with no problems. I found an Afterdawn thread going much more in depth about using it and downloading it. ( http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/521313 )

Hope this helps!!!
