Is it possible of playing a (UK)PAL wii straio out the box in america?

you can play it, just not with any us games, unless you get it modded then you can play MOST NTSC games. There are some problems with this e.g. bricking but its your choice!

Well, the wii isnt region free so i guess no, sorry mate. Like i said the best thing to do if you WANT to buy it is to mod it or wait for a soft mod. Your choice. If you play PAL games on it from europe then it will be fine, but NTSC ones will not work with out modded wii.

i know about modding, i just want to k now if all of my original US games will work on my "modded" wii

Oh! im very sorry, i misunderstood. If you DO have a modded wii then the original US games SHOULD work, it depends on the game really. Right now around 70% of games do work.

Some of the NTSC(U) game disc will work and some will not. There is no diffrence between orignal or backup games when playing them in a modded Wii.
