locked BIOS - not password problem

Hey, the other day i was disabling fan control in the BIOS as I was having overheating problems. While I was there I thought i'd set a BIOS password.

Anyway, if i go into the BIOS now it accepts my password (I also tested incorrect ones and it rejects them) BUT I can't change anything in there other than Boot priorities!!!

WTF!?

I have a pheonix BIOS, not 100% sure of the version but I can find out next time i reboot

Thinking about it I may have tried to set a supervisor password also and mistaken where it asked for the current one for the space to type the new one. So that could've locked it. How do I get it back if that is the case???

clear the bios by using the cmos jumper or removing the battery for a couple of minutes with the power cord disconnected.
