I will be going out of the USA for the summer, so don't suspend my account because of email.
Anyway, i would like to play PAL GC games on my NTSC Wii. The obvious soloution would be FreeLoader.
However, i would also like to play Wii PAL games. The obvious solution right now would be modchipping my console. However, i DO NOT want to modchip my Wii for a few reasons:
1.What if Nintendo applies some sorta authentication system for the online games?
2.What if it would brick my Wii?
3.If it will, it WILL void my warrenty.
4.Modchipping it would be very costly. I just spent 95 bucks on modchipping my PS2.
5.I would have to buy a special, exspensive burner to burn Wii backups.
6.What if some new modchip comes out? like a new flashable modchip? then, installing a WiiKey would be completely pointless then. Is wiikey even flashable? ARE THERE EVEN FLASHABLE MODCHIPS FOR WIIs!?

It's been proven that you can play online games even with a modchip.
2.What if it would brick my Wii?
Just make sure to update the firmware on the Wii.
3.If it will, it WILL void my warrenty.
Yes, if you crack open your Wii, then the warranty will be voided.
4.Modchipping it would be very costly. I just spent 95 bucks on modchipping my PS2.
You can buy a modchip for less than $40. Or just build your own for less than $10.
5.I would have to buy a special, exspensive burner to burn Wii backups.
Nope. You can burn Wii games with any DVD burner. But if you want to rip the Wii game then yes, you will need a specific DVD drive.
6.What if some new modchip comes out? like a new flashable modchip? then, installing a WiiKey would be completely pointless then. Is wiikey even flashable? ARE THERE EVEN FLASHABLE MODCHIPS FOR WIIs!?
Wait for the WiiP v. 2. It'll be the ultimate modchip. I'm taking out my Wiikey for it.

Yes but what if they put something like DNAS into future games? it'll detect the modchip.

Yes, if you crack open your Wii, then the warranty will be voided.
This is one of the biggest reasons i don't want to install a modchip. I have a warrenty for like 1 or 4 years.
4.Modchipping it would be very costly. I just spent 95 bucks on modchipping my PS2.

I have no idea how to build modchips.

OK...

First off NDarkness has answered all your questions above.
But since he has answered them in the quote part of the message I will separate your questions by Quote and answer it without the quote so you can see the answer better.
Quote:1.What if Nintendo applies some sorta authentication system for the online games?
Use your Original Game Disc to play online if this happens. You can also get a Modchip that can be disabled. WiiD has the option to disable the Modchip.
Quote:2.What if it would brick my Wii?
You will have no bricking issue as long as you keep your NTSC(U) Wii updated with the latest firmware available from Nintendo. As of now 2.2U is the latest.
Quote:3.If it will, it WILL void my warrenty.
Some have had their Wii exchanged or replaced by Nintendo. From the brick issue or having a botched Modchip install. I am not condoning those that have done this but I have seen allot due it.
Quote:4.Modchipping it would be very costly. I just spent 95 bucks on modchipping my PS2.
Most Modchips are no more then $40 You also will need a tri-wing screw bit to open the Wii which is only $3 to $5 depending where you get it.
Quote:5.I would have to buy a special, exspensive burner to burn Wii backups.
You can use any DVD burner to burn the Wii game. If you want to rip the game from your game disc you will then need a specific LG DVD-ROM drive to do this. You can get the LG drive from Newegg for $18...
Quote:6.What if some new modchip comes out? like a new flashable modchip? then, installing a WiiKey would be completely pointless then. Is wiikey even flashable? ARE THERE EVEN FLASHABLE MODCHIPS FOR WIIs!?
I also don't understand how members say the Wiikey is not flashable. I would think it would have to be flashable to add new features or bug fixes to the Wiikey. I have a WiiD which does flash the Modchip when a new update comes out.
Just as any other Modscene for Gaming systems newer Modchips will come out all the time.
You can wait for a better 2nd Generation Modchip to come out but no one knows how long this will take.
If you wait you might be waiting a long time.
If you don't wait and buy a Modchip now the next week after you buy it a better Modchip might be available.
