First off, i have a flip top ps2. It's a version 9. I installed the memory card exploit by follwing this guide-http://exploitstation.com/articles/codebreaker_exploit.php
I used the RAR archive download included in the guide. The menu seems to work fine with the exploit. However when i use the cogswap, i cannot load my backups. I use GTA San Andreas as my high ToC disc. My two backups that i have are Black and Mortal Kombat Armageddon. I have them burned on Verbatim DVD-R discs that have VideoGard* protection to help prevent scratches. I burned them at 1x speed with imgburn. When i use cogswap, i do it all right according to the directions. When i load the backup via flip top and push X, it either stays on the cogswap screen for a while and then goes black with the disc spinning or sometimes stops. Other times it just stays on the cogswap screen with the backup spinning. Any help or advice would be greatly aprreciated. Thanks for any help in advance.

have you tried it without using the video guard? Those things can just cause your laser to have a hard time reading the discs.

DO NOT use the memorex discs! They will definately ruin your PS2 laser. Instead of using cogswap, try using the Swap Magic elf. It use to work fine on my memory card exploit and could run all the newest games like NFS Carbon which people have been having trouble with. Although, now my memory card exploit just doesn't work but when I try to play the games using my Swap Magic DVD they work perfectly.. I don't know whats the problem lol. Anyways, just try the Swap Magic elf. :)
