msdos batch file help needed

hi i,m realy stumped i.ve dowloaded the wiikey v1.2 startup disc rar file and want to make the disc, but when i click the PAL bat file a box flashes very quickly and i cant find where the image has gone,i,m using xp, and pulling my hair out in chunks and geting balder by the second, can anyone explain what and where i am going wrong? please

i havent done it but i am sure it creates the image in the same folder the bat file is opened in so make sure its on ur hdd not on a disc or usb key
u can right click on the bat file and click edit or open with notepad to see the code inside

your right you can open the bat file and see @del bootdisc.pal.iso
@bootdisc\mkisofs.exe -R -J -G bootdisc/gbi.hdr.pal -no-emul-boot -b bootldr.dol -o ./bootdisc.pal.iso bootdisc/root
@bootdisc\filechop bootdisc.pal.iso 4699979776 but what do you do with it?

you are just meant to run the batchfile it then creates the iso u need

are u sure its not failing due to having insufficient room on that drive - u need over 4 gig or is your hard drive formatted to fat and not ntfs - if set as fat - u cant have 4 gig files on it

I have about 16 gig free on my computer???

yes it matters regardless if its xp or not
fat32 limits the size of a file you are allowed to have - think its 2 gig
ntfs does not limit it

u can tell by
right click on ur hdd in my computer and choose properties

it tells u in there

Check the file system by doing what Thinone said. here is an image of the properties box...




If it is Fat32 then you can convert it to NTFS by folowing the guide that is link below...
