GTA SA mod?

Hey i'm new to the moding thing and i want to mod GTA SA. i was wondering if SAMI the GTA SA mod installer was good for it.. I tryed a couple of vehicles and they dont seem to work it installs the HANDLING, VEHICLE IDE LINE, and the CAR COLORS... i replace it with the other car and when i play the game the car is the same doesnt change what can i do so it could work?
