Heres the deal i have a gigabeat (or had one),
i was tranferring music using mediamonkey as i always do. it was full so was deleting video to create room for the new music but i noticed that the screen wasnt saying updating when the music was tranferring so i unplugged and the the gigabeat popped up with a message saying "to recover from critical error the device must delete files" along those lines given me only one option, clicking ok.
it deleted 27gb the amount that it can hold of which most if it wasnt saved on my PC. So now i have an empty mp3 player
But heres the strange part for me the player still thinks it is full and wont let me put anything back on it. i restarted, let the battery go flat but still noting. So now i just have an impressive paperweight.
So i suppose what im asking has this happened before and are their any soloutions to the problem?? or even are the files recoverable just missing links to the info, seeing as it seems the info is still there?
