wii stuck on update

i started an update over wifi and the bar is not moving its stuck at maybe 5% its been like that for over 30 min ..no buttons on the remote work i do see the hand on the screen..it says not to turn the power off..what should i do?

I hate to say to reboot your Wii. But it seems it has somehow locked up.

All you can do is hope it has locked up during the firmware download and not the firmware install itself.

I see no other option but to try to reboot if it has been stuck that long.

if its not too late, give it an hour or so. while mine didn't take THAT long, it did stall a few places. i did mine over wifi as well, and it would have a slow download at times and then it eventually finished up.
