Newegg is advertising Ridata Blank DVD's as "RiDATA 4.7GB 16X DVD+R 50 Packs Spindle Disc - OEM". I know OEM means other equipment mfg. so are they saying that the media is "NOT" made by Ridata?

This maybe a dumb question but I don't know and need to be knowledgeable before I make a purchase. Also, I am having a problem finding 8x DVD+R media in 50-packs. I prefer Ridata but I don't need 100-pack. My burnes are Plextors ( 708A & 740A) and they burn the 8x DVD's with no problems. Some individuals on this forum have said 16x generates coasters sometimes. Thanks for your advice in advance.

OEM is Original Equipment Manufacturer, so I would assume that they are made by Ridata.
The 16x's generate coasters because it's way too fast for burning a DVD.
Even though they say 16x, burn them at 4x for best results.
