So should I mod my Wii now or wait for the new Xecuter chip?

I've been thinking about modding my Wii (well, sending it in to get modded) for a while now. I was just about ready to send it in until I read that team-xecuter was coming out with the new WiipV2, so I'm not really sure if I should send it in now or wait.

What do you guys think I should do? Please give opinions. Thanks. :)

There chip seems to be the latest greatest on paper. In my opinion and I know that xecuter has an excellent reputation, I have their chip for my xbox and it was amazing. The only thing that bothers me is that they don't have a definitive release date. They say 2 to 4 weeks but who knows really when its coming out.

I think there are plenty of subs WIID, WIIKEY, Cyclowiz. Really up to you and what your looking for in a chip. Personally I have a wiid and I have no complaints.

Scratch my last comment!!! WIID SUCKS....... Was working fine for some time now then all of a sudden I smell something burning. I quick unplug my wii open it up only to find the little black chip on it has overheated and burnt. My wii is fine thank god but the chip is now worthless. Oh and to add fuel to the fire Consolesource wont do anything about it no replacement chip...... support@wiid.com no answer from them. Seems to me that they don't give a $hit

I'd say wait. I was going to buy a cyclowiz but read about the joint efforts of Xecuter and TCNiSO on the Wiip v2 so now im holding off untill it comes. On paper it reads like it's going to be the best chip by quite some way, but obviously others will beat it later as is the way of the modchip.

TCNiSO claim they've got 1000 being produced now so keep checking their site and get ready to jump at buying one :D

Yeah it does!!! But I went and bought my self a wiikey. Truth be told I couldn't wait for the tcniso/executer wiip2 cause I suspect that wont be out for a while. Any way when removing the wiid chip I pulled of the solder on point 6 on the wiikey installation manual http://www.wiikey.cn/images/installWiiKey.pdf. The trace is still intact just no solder, meaning that the circle with the hole is still on the board. Doesn't look to be damaged but I couldn't get any solder to stay on it so does this mean i have to solder point 6 to the alternate?
