Best Buy still has Dynex DVDs for $8.99 per 50 pack, too. I know I've asked before, but is that something to pick up or should I wait for something better?

1. 100-packs of Verbatim media were on sale at OfficeMax just 2 or 3 weeks ago for $25. Combined with $10off$25 and $20off$50 coupons, people bought a bunch of them for only $15 per pack.

2. Dynex media is made in China by AML and UME. It's the same as Playo and NexxTech media (all made by the same company). The Playos are much cheaper with rebates.

3. The Dynex disks at Best Buy coming up are CD-Rs not DVDs. Look closer at the picture.

4. There is nothing special about the Verbatim movie reel disks. They are the same as regular Verbatims. You're paying extra money for a fancy design on the disk, nothing more.

It was mentioned in the weekly sales thread about mid-week (it wasn't a part of the initial posting). Unless you kept reading that thread each day, it was easy to miss.

Wow. When the best deal is 25 Verbs for $8.99, it's a pretty bad week for blank media.
