SNES Roms being...stupid?

So I've tried over, over, and over again: there seems to be a problem with some single player SNES games/roms. When I try to load it up on my Wii it'll give me an error message telling me to "Remove the multiplayer control for the SNES" (Not that exactly but something REALLY close along those lines - called something like the "Multitap").

The game I'm TRYING to play is Super Mario RPG (U.S.). One reason why I think this can be a "fixed" problem is because the game WILL LOAD and run in foreign languages (wtf?)

I've actually got the thing to run off my PSP but who likes playing a game at ~2 fps?

Hmm, I just tried playing this game w/ Snes9xGX but I had no problems.

If you go into the emulator settings, there is a multitap option you can turn on or off. I turned mine on and tried playing, however it still worked.

I don't know, maybe try turning it off and see if it works for you or not???
