I am trying to add subtitles to a DVD image using ConvertXtoDVD. I choice this package cause it was allowing me to preserve the most of the original image and allow me to manipulate it. .

However, when I tried to add in the subtitle track in .SSA format it took each "voice" as a seperate subtitle track, as opposed to different voice of same subtitle. . and all formating data was lost (colour, font, etc). . when the image was burned, basically only one person was subtitled at a time.

Now, I've overcome this problem by using a more standard .srt format and just using the one font/colour.

Is there a way I can keep the .ssa detail and have it show as only one subtitle track for all voices? (Incidentially, I want it stored as a optional subtitle, and not impose it permanently on image). . any suggestions would be wonderful.

P.S. Dvd is to consist of 1 Vid, 2 Aud, 1 Sub track when complete (right now I got 1V,2A and 13Subs - lol).
