ISO doesn't work

Hi All,
I have downloaded an ISO of metal slug anthology, but when i play the PSP screen comes and then a black screen and it freezes to that screen. please help me. i have 3.03 oe-c on my PSP.

ok do this checklist.
1)Make sure it is in the ISO folder and no thats not in GAME, its on the root of ur stick.
2) Check in recovery mode that you psp is kernal 1.50. (to enter recovery hold R while powering up)
3) Download it another one just to check if its a bad ISO.
4) Message me if u need help.
Fat PSP: 3.03 oe-c (will update when i have time :P)

Hi i do not know how to find where the kernel will be written, but i went to :
recovery mode -> main menu -> configurations -> Game folder homebrew (currently :3.03 kernel)
does taht mean i have kernel 3.03, if yes how to change it to 1.5 kernel or whatever can play all these games..

Hello, I downloaded The Bigs ISO file. Everything is done, Now when I am about to start the game it says "you are currently running 3.11, you need 3.03 or higher to run game." What should I do?

Make sure you have a game UMD in your PSP when playing ISO. Also make sure No-UMD is disabled.

You don't need to change the kernel, that is only with homebrew apps & games.

There is a UMD in there. Metal Gear Acid. I download the game (The Bigs) from www.gamestorrents.com and everywhere else. It still tells me to upgrade to 3.03 when I am using Devhook 0.52 (firmware 3.11). I've never had a problem like this.

Its devhook then. Get off devhook and downgrade your PSP, it will solve your problem.

Yes you need the game UMD in there to play PSP games, but PSX games and what not work fine without a UMD. And you change the kernel by pressing X in the recovery menu in the configuration.

i have the very same metal slug anthology with the same problem it is just a bad file try finding another one to use. not all the files that say iso are going to work.

the Demo umd will work fine, you don't need a game umd if u have the demo UMD.
Midnight J, the Demo UMD works just like a GAME UMD, the only thing u can't use is a Movie UMD.

hi i tried to download the same game again thrice, or else you can say that downloaded three different iso's for the same game... but it still is not working.. is there any thing else taht i can do to make this stuff working..

beast23 why did you triple post?
Anyway you need a PSP Game UMD in your PSP when playing the .iso (Demo,full game)
And you need no-umd mode disabled from the recovery menu.

Hi,
Sorry that was by mistake, my browser was really acting up funny..
but hey i have tried all this.. it just doesn't work... i have 3.03 oe-c with kerner 3.03 is that causing the issue....
