DAB to MP3 or DAB to WAV ?

Can somebody clarify whether there is any benefit to be had from recording BBC DAB broadcasts to WAV as opposed to MP3.

Does the 128kbps bitrate mean that the WAV file would sound no better than the MP3 ?

I'm confused !!!

The very best you can do is to download the stream in whatever format (mp3,etc.)it is in.Any change in format will give somewhat less quality.Downloading as opposed to just recording the audio from your sound card lets you keep whatever quality is there to start with.Changing to .wav will not help.Good luck.
