Okay, I am new to setting up all this sound stuff, and I thought my setup was working at its best until I started reading these forums. My setup is this: Montego DDL running on Vista (which has some issues but I think it has more to do with MIDI than sound decoding), optical connection, and Z-5500 sound system. Currently, I have the sound card set on DDL 5.1 encoding. The z-5500 reads DD PLII. Is this right? Also, when I select DTS in Win DVD on my Led Zeppelin music dvd, it selects it the menu (which it won't do in Media center understandbly), but the Z-5500 STILL reads pro logic II. Is there anything wrong with this? My understanding is that DTS is better than pro logic II, and I want the best.
