I just got my LG drive in from NewEgg, and I wanted to start making my backups. The problem is that its not recognizing any of my Wii discs. When I tried to run RawDump, it said I may have a Faulty drive. Does anyone know what to do?

Whenever I double-click the dvd drive in my computer, it give me"Windows cannot read this disk. The disk might be corrupted, or it could be using a format not compatible with windows."

Ahh, I got it now. I had to start RawDump before inserting the wii game. I have stumbled aross another problem now though.

RawDump 2.0 for Wii and GameCube discs

Unhandled exception has occurred in you applicatino. If you click continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately

An attempt was made to move the file pointer before the beginning of the file.

^yea, I just downloaded it about an hour ago. I think I already had it though because it asked me if I wanted to either repair or uninstall.

hmm. i would definately reinstall the framework and try that then. i had similar problems to what you had. i dont remember how i fixed it but i think it had to do with the framework.

post back if you still have problems. good luck!

Thanks for the support. I finally fixed it lol. Heres what I found, and it helped the situation.

Found on http://www.ps2-scene.org/forums/showthread.php?p=375519 about halfway down, post by "1100101"

"I was having the "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application.

Just thought i would share something that worked for me. I was having a problem running anything but v0.4, kept getting the error about the pointer and reading it wrong. I fixed the problem by going into device manager, then going to IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers, then going into properties(on ide channel drive was on) then advanced tab and setting the drive to PIO Only (from dma).
Its run perfect on v2.0 ever since with only a random arithmatic problem if i do a few copies back to back, possibly unrelated?

hope this helps someone

by the way i have an 8164b 0L06"

Hope that helps, Cheers
