How long did it take you guys to do a system update on your wii? I'm on 2mbit line and it took 1hour +

Just bought a wii with wiikey and did a system update as soon as I got it. Took at least 1 hour+, I was sh*tting myself as I see the progress bar go slowly. My router was acting up and dropping all the wireless connection in the house. Luckily it finished updating. I went and reset the router and it never came back up lol.

So how big is this update? I'm on PAL, are they few hundred mb?

I'll remember in the future to update my wii using a wired connection! Or get a game with the newest firmware.

It took less than 5 minutes for me to update mine via wireless Internet. For some reason my wireless router and Wii don't get along very well either. Sometimes I have to try it a few times before it will start downloading it.

I'm not sure why yours took so long, but at least it did finish for you... I have read where others with a similar problem cannot ever get it to finish updating and they are forced to use a game to update.

Just in case you guys don't know, you can try setting your wireless band to mixed instead of B or G only, this helps a lot in my case, anyway, hope it helps.

Wow, I'm glad I have Wired now. Much more safer too.

I can easily go online with the WiFi Adaptor for DS/Wii since my computer is very close to the Wii.
