Boot up M3 Lite Perfect in GBA mode?

Is there a way to boot the M3 Lite Perfect directly into GBA mode instead of booting into DS mode and pushing start to reboot into GBA mode?

Remove your Passcard and then choose 'Start GBA Game' from the DS menu.

If using FlashMe hold Select when turning on the unit, then choose 'Start GBA Game' from the DS menu.

I believe that the pass card is required if you want to be able to save your games.

Not at all, the passcard is only for booting the M3 in DS mode.
