ok so i dled the naruto game. when i opened it up it's has the naruto game in a .zix file. so i downloaded winzix and opened the file. it has the naruto.iso but it won't let me open the archive. i have never seen a .zix file before. think you can help me out here?

Files compressed with WinZix 1.0 will not be compatible with version 2.0. Use version 1.0 if you need to uncompress older files

yeah i know that. the older version will open the naruto.zix file and the naruto.iso is in there but when i extract the file i cannot open it. do u think this is a scam? cause my computer has been having pop-ups lately after i try to open the naruto.zix

It might be...Though I really wanna play the Game.
I Try everytime, but when I extract the game with the WinZix, It stills shows up a .ZIX .

if you havent already got a virus programme get spybot search and destroy to get rid of the spyware that winzix gave you thats what i am using to get rid of the pop ups winzix gave me

I think you can use winzip or winrar to get extract .zix. You need to rename zix to zip though.

It was a scam, the winzix guys just wrote a couple of line of code on tope of winzip, and made their "own" compression software, packed with spyware goodies...

Edit: After searching around, I couldn't find the work around to unzip a zix file anymore. But the net is filled with zix being scam. Please don't download winzix for your own sake!
