so my wii wont turn on.........., installed wiid.....

so today i finally did my install right i think ........so i decided to connect the power the system went On standby.......but when i press the on button.and it start turning on and it would just turn off everytime. and i have to unplug and replug the power on the back of the system so the system can go back to stand by ......HELPPPPPPPPP

and another thing ....i have a friend who is a moder and he made me take out the HD and and turn on the system with out the HD and then he told me the problem wasnt the mother board.....he told me it has to be my HD but i dont know whats wrong

Make sure you haven't bridged any connection together.

Check your soldering joints and make sure they are not connected to another soldering joint.

Make sure there was no soldering splash on the drive board itself bridging 2 connections together.

Make sure you have the correct soldering joints soldered to the correct place on the WiiD and the Drive board.

Hey, I had the EXACT same problem, not too long ago. The problem is that there may be some sodder on circuits on the lower gap of the chip, or just too much sodder. What I did was to remove it and clean it off, so the circuits were not covered. And while doing that, test to see if the Wii will turn on every few minutes.
