Wii Key installation problems

I ordered a wiikey and installed it last night, afterwards I was able to play wii games without a problem, this morning a burned the wiikey setup disk 1.2 and put it in, it showed up as a game cube game, but when I tried to run it the council just restarted, now it won't run any games (backup or not). I'm going to try and pick up new media and reburn the setup disk. Is this problem characteristic of a bad mod chip or a bad soddering job?

When I say won't run any games, I mean that I get a disk read error.
