I'm really having a hard time choosing a chip for my wii...

I know alot about the wiikey and know everything i have to do to install it now but the fact that im doing it and the solder points are so tiny is a HUGE drawback

So my other option was a wiid...
i dont know so much about these except that they do exactly the same a wiikey, are a little more expensive, are better with gamecube, and they can be shut off/"hidden"

As for installing a wiid i havent looked around to see wut kind of problems people have had (i know about many of the problems ppl have had with a wiikey though) and i dont know what i need to install a wiid or if its as difficult

You hear more problems about wiikey installs simply because there are more wiikeys out there by far than any other chip, the difficulty of installing a wiikey is really no different to any other chip out there.

Theres are also a bunches of Wiikey clone, it aint the best...but all wii chips so far does the same thing. Although I wouldnt be suprised not see a upgrade on their software since they said they were going to release it months ago which they havent.

Nonsense. The wiikey is not the same as other modchip. They may installed the same but the way the chip is programmed to do it different. Yes all modchip do the same, but the sucked thing about the wiikey is that it patches the game everytime a disc inserted, including original. It treated original as a backup boot method and can't be disable like other modchip, other modchip are disable when original disc are inserted, leaving it like it not modded. So it better to get other modchip rathered than the wiikey. Another reason not to, it they still have gamecube audio program, even original gamecube are infected because of the way it patch boot. If you're playing online, the wiikey is not recommended if nintendo starting to be anti-modchip.
