Toshiba recorder RD-XS54 HELP

Hello,
I have a Toshiba RD-XS54 video recorder.
Does anyone know their way around this machine?

I'm having a problem with the Network Navi feature.
After following directions and setting up the recorder I went to the PC to try to access the recorder. I typed the addy in and it promts for a user name & pass. But it will not except what I enter. I've changed my name & pass several times to no avail.

Can anyone offer some insite?
