wiikey only reads dvd -R?

I tried searching but found nothing and I would like to know if wii with wiikey reads only dvd -R or DVD+R too?

DVD-R is just beta...its a more succesful rate then DVD-R

Wiikey and the Wii are picky so try both see what works and stick with it.

So far I have only used DVD+R with my wiikey and I've never had a DRE.

I'm using Sony 16x DVD+R burned at 2.4x on a Lite-on 20A1P and bitsetting set to DVD-ROM.

DVD-R seems to have more success than DVD+R in my experience.

i only use -r but thats cos i only got a -r burner..

i know people who burn tons of wii games +r with no problems :)

I have a Lite-on 20AIL. I have been using Ritek and TDK DVD+R media (burned at 2X) and have been getting nothing but DREs. Do you think not bitsetting could be the problem, or do you think its the media? Has anyone else successfully tried Ritek and TDK DVD+R? I have a feeling my Wiikey is installed properly since the drive makes more noise now, but I will go after it w/ the ol' Fluke multimeter later :/

I used Maxxell Dvd+R without a single DRE.

Now, I had some Sony DVD+RW's sitting around after my Maxells ran out. I didnt think they would work, but they have been flawless so far.

Changing the bitsetting can't hurt so I'd give that a try first.

I also seem to recall reading several people having problems with burns on the 20A1L over at the club cdfreaks forums which they resolved with different firmware. It might be worth checking into that as well.
