Woo, well, after hours of thinking and researching! I am going to buy the following chosen components. Comments & Suggestions please? Tell me what you think -
CASE - ANTEC NINE HUNDRED GAMING CASE ATX

What you think people? All together cost = £641, Comments please! Also im making it SLI so in the future im going to add 2 8600GTS but for now only 1 :-D! Im also thinking of getting the eVGA 8800GTS? Anybody have any websites they can direct me too which are in UK and also are not over £200? Thx! I saw on dabs.co.uk that XFX Geforce 8800GTS 320mb for £186! £71 more than my 8600GTS that i want to buy with much better specs! What you think people you think i should get it? Also is it wise to have a 500w PSU by Coolermaster (there not a cheap unknown company, so i do trust them - but comments are needed) for a 8800GTS 320mb graphic card?

I was reading online about the new intel release of the e6750 and others dropping the price of the e6600 and e6700 so i would wait til july 22nd to see if the prices drop.

I have heard that the Asus Striker Extreme needs to have a very good and strong RAM - i have in my specs above Corsair XMS2 5400, i am very afraid that when purchased and when i plug it in, into the MoBo it will get fried, the most decent needed for the MoBo is the corsair XMS2 8500, can someone clarify this? also Is xms2 5400 a good choice for such a powerful motherboard?

Woah a quad will be about $250!?!?!?!?!? thats like £130!!! A QUAD CORE? Wow that is a HUGE drop in price!

An 8600GTS is probably fine with a Coolermaster Power supply. Nice case btw lol. I do however think you've gone overboard on the motherboard, and underboard on the graphics. Perhaps find a cheaper good motherboard like a Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 and go with an 8800GTS at least.

I don't see the need for SLI unless you buy both cards at the same time, since revisions and models change so often you may not be able to use it.
I'd recommend sticking with one card in ALL cases except for when you've got a massive budget and can afford two of the most powerful card (e.g. 8800GTX or 8800 Ultra)
the performance benefit is usually less than upgrading to a more powerful GPU instead.
One 8800GTS will be far better value than two 8600s.
If you must have an SLi board, go with the P5N32-SLi, but I'd still recommend the Gigabyte board over that.

Im am still deciding if should go for the 8800GTS, its just the cost is quite expensive....but i heard its a really good card even if your on a budget? and i see you have an SLi ready board, you told me that getting the gigabyte is much better, are you sure? can you justify more reasons in how 1 GPU is stronger than 2 GPU's that are just the previous models?

the desktop that i wish to create - must be good for gaming that will cover the present and future games, does the gigabyte one you recommended good in Overclocking and does it need any special requirements as the Asus needed a really powerful RAM that must be good in most conditions..

The DS3 is one of the best boards for its price at overclocking (can get a 1.8Ghz E4300 to 3.2Ghz no trouble) and can be used with G-Skill or Corsair RAM, PC6400 speed is recommended.

Is the "DS3" the gigabyte MoBo you suggested and what is PC6400 speed? - sorry for the WHOLE lot of questions, just need to make sure what i am buying isn't something stupid lol :-D
I am getting a E6600 Conroe with that MoBo it should work fine correct?

yep, it is the Gigabyte board, and those components will work with it. PC6400 speed is a memory speed, the stuff you posted at the top of the page was 5400, that's 667mhz. PC6400 is 800mhz, and is much better.

I use the CAS4 version of that stuff (and I bought it this spring for £150, wow memory prices have gone down) but run it at CAS5, so I'm effectively running the same stuff.
Oh, and you asked about the 8800GTS? Do it, it's an awesome graphics card.

Hey one of the main things im confused on is what are the latencies? Well i know that lower the latiencies the better the performance but does that a mean a ram with 1-1-1-12 is the fastest or not?

Yep. the lower the number the better. it basically says how many clock cycles memory takes to do a job.
If one type of memory is 400mhz and takes two cycles to do a job, that means it took 5 nanoseconds.
If another type of memory is 800mhz and takes four cycles to a job, it'll also take 5 nanoseconds.
However, with regard to overclocking, higher mhz is better, so the 800mhz CAS4 would be better than 400mhz CAS2.
