I just picked up a Compaq Presario SR2150NX with Windows Vista preinstalled. I want to add a different dvd burner but when I swap it
out it says everything's working properly, but I still can't actually use the drive. I've set it as the master, slave,CS,it dosen't seem to matter. The driver is up to date & I know the burner works.I think it
has to do with the OS detecting that the new dvd drive isn't the original prepackaged drive, because the stock burner works wherever I put it,no problem. Can someone shed some light on the situation please??? Thanks.
