I'm looking into buying a SATA card of some sort, but all my PCI slots are taken up. I have two empty slots, but I don't know what kind of expansion port they are. Sorry if it's a stupid question. ALL INFO APPRECIATED!!! #1

is #1 above the PCI slots and #2 below?
If so, #1 is AGP and #2 is possibly ISA.

Aha if that's the case, #1 may be PCI express 16x and that could be PCI express 1x. What make/model is your motherboard?

i had the amr modem in my hand when i posted last. the cnr is just a bit longer on 1 side as seen by the picture. the agp picture is the same as the motherboard in my hand & a pci/e 16 slot is longer then an agp by about 33%.
