Chrono Trigger had a really compelling storyline. But then again, everything squaresoft did was gold until they became Square-Anus.

Kinda off topic but, if sony can get square to do a re-release of FF7 on ps3. Even with moderate graphics, they'll be selling those baby like hot cakes...

I know a lot of ppl said FF7 is one of the best but there is a big rpg library (emulated ofcourse) if u guys loved ff7 then try out star ocean 2nd story, or thousand arms, and xenogears
let me know if u guys played it.... ff7 is good but leaves a craving after u have finished it for like the 10th time lol

Only Star Ocean I played was the ps2 version, which was fun, and had a good combat system.
I haven't played the PSX version, I'll put them on the psp and try them later

Best rpg's on the snes are Chrono Trigger, FFIII, and Super Mario RPG. I got all the cartridges. :p

wow finally some ppl who like something else than ff7, its a good game but need variety, i played chrono trigger, havent tried mario rpg ( i never got into mario as an rpg much less as a platform) anyways i just a great game called vagrant story try it out its something DIFF

OK, I'll "third" that motion: SMRPG is one of the most fantastic rpgs ever! Of course, the presence of kick-a** minigames helps, too.
Brave Fencer Musashi rules, too.
I'm probably going to get laughed off the face of the earth for this, but I liked Secret of Evermore.
